An Industry event (Bidders Conference) will be held in the midlands on 5.7.2012. It will be for a maximum of 2 hours and the aim is to expand more fully the scope of the requirement, explain to potential bidders the peculiarities of working within the establishments on the MoJ estate and allow potential bidders the opportunity to ask questions of the procurement exercises before the invitation to tender is issued.
It is not a pre-requisite that potential bidders attend this event and notes will be taken and provided to those who are unable. However, for any potential bidder wishing to attend please contact the MoJ (address in Section I) and further details including the address of the venue and timings will be provided. Due to space limitations only 1 representative per company will be permitted to attend.

1)Short description:

The MoJ estate consists primarily of law courts and prisons, but also office buildings, tribunals buildings, probation buildings, YJB estate and domestic buildings, totalling approximately 2 000 buildings in all. The bulk of the lifts are in the law courts. This requirement is not restricted to only those contractors who have supplied and installed.
Refurbishment is primarily (but not exclusively) concerned with Lift car and landing doors; Improvements to lift control/drive systems and Aesthetic enhancements.
