The University of Salford has numerous vertical transport installations in various properties throughout The University Campus. The Employer now seeks competitive tenders from lift contractors with a view to awarding a fully comprehensive fixed price contract to a successful tenderer.
(a) A 3 year fully comprehensive contract with the option of 2 one year extensions as more fully described in the specification whereby The Contractor undertakes, for a specified all-inclusive consideration, to carry out all or any maintenance, repairs or renewals which may be or become necessary and provide an emergency 24 hour service;
The Employer’s objectives are to maintain a high level of reliability and availability of its units by operating a system of planned preventative maintenance with response to call outs and call backs/breakdowns maintained at agreed performance levels.
