Severn Trent is seeking a Loss Adjuster service provider. We are seeking one provider, covering all claims (Property First Party, Employers Liability and Third Party liability). We anticipate that this contract will commence in December 2012 or January 2013.

The core service will involve loss adjusting or investigation in the following areas.
— Public and products liability, examples including:
Third Party property damage.
Third Party underground assets (known as utility claims).
Section 209.
Professional indemnity (currently covered under our global liability programme).
Pollution.
Sewer flooding, including Private Drains and Sewer (PDaS) matters.
— Employers liability,
— Motor third party property damage and / or injury,
— First Party Above Ground Assets (e.g. Pumping Stations, Water or Sewerage Treatment Works) including business interruption and recovery,
— Desktop service for low value, non complex First Party Above Ground Asset claims.
Some of our key requirements are stated below:
— Emergency 2 hour response when needed,
— 24 hour 365 days emergency helpline number,
— Clear process for out of hours and reporting back to TPA during office hours,
— Emergency supply chain in our geographical area if needed,
— Clear incident management for major bursts.
Structured, quality reports (First call or E Mail within 24 hours of incident notification, First attendance report within 48 hours of incident including photos and any specialist instruction details and costs, prelim reports, interim reports, final reports).
— Risk Management in reporting (e.g. quality of water main damaged) to help Severn Trent with investment strategy, risk mitigation etc,
— Management and Risk information,
— Account Management and Stewardship,
— Ad hoc project support on areas of claims process improvements, including assistance in the development and implementation of solutions.
Severn Trent wishes to drive efficiencies in the claims supply chain, by appointing a Loss Adjusting firm who can work effectively in partnership with our existing supply chain, including our claims handling TPA (Converge) to assist in driving down the claims volumes and values.
We are also looking to improve the quality of our claims reporting / MI.
