Parliamentary ICT (PICT), the contract authority (the Authority), on behalf of the Corporate Officer of the House of Lords and the Corporate Officer of the House of Commons, is seeking to procure the provision of a Managed Services contract for the maintenance, support and management of 2 x ISP routers in two locations in Parliament. The supplier must be able to link locations according to industry best practice. Both routers must provide 300 Mbps bandwidth whilst providing the bearer backbone to future proof scaling up to 600 Mbps or 1 GB to cater for the possibility of increasing bandwidth in the future.
The supplier must also be responsible for installing the service and project manage the implementation.
Out of Scope:
It is expected the following will be excluded from this procurement:
Management and provisioning of the physical IT environment (such as power, UPS, structured cabling and air-conditioning).
The supplier will be expected to demonstrate the capacity for flexibility, innovation and continuous improvement throughout the life of the contract by working closely with the Authority to identify and exploit opportunities for greater use of technology.
