The requirement is for the provision of a Manual Handling (MH) education and facilitation service to approximately 1300 pre-registration nursing and midwifery students within the Faculty of Health.
The provision of the service would commence on 1.1.2015 for a period of two years with mutually agreed extensions up to a maximum of 2 years ending on 31.12.2018. These extensions each to be mutually agreed 6 months prior to end of year 3 and 4 in turn.
The services will be required to be delivered at the University’s Garthdee Campus in Aberdeen.

Reference to the relevant law, regulation or administrative provision: It is expected that the trainers will be members of the Scottish Manual Handling Forum or National Back Exchange (or hold membership of, or accreditation by, a body of similar standing) and they must be able to put the training into the context of patient care for Nursing students and for Health Science students.
