Description

Ashfield District Council funded a project in early 2017, conducted by an external agency, to look at the feasibility of establishing a steering group to promote Ashfield as an attractive area to live, visit and work.

One of the purposes of the Ashfield Inspire group is to create a positive external perception and profile for Ashfield where people are proud to live and work, want to visit, and businesses choose to invest.

The groups’ objectives are:
? To promote Ashfield in a positive manner
? To create pride and aspiration in our communities
? To improve the vibrancy of the town centres in Ashfield
? To encourage and promote inward investment, through education and business to raise skill levels in the community.
? To support tourism and the visitor economy in the Ashfield area.

A draft action plan has been developed by the Shadow Board. In order to deliver the actions, the Board recognises that a marketing plan needs to be developed to support and drive the concept and actions forward.

Currently we have a number of established forums, i.e. IAM brand, Mansfield and Ashfield 2020, etc. that need to be considered and identifiable within the same branding.

The objective of the marketing project is to create a brand identity from the Purpose and Objectives above. These will then be used to drive the focus and activities of the Shadow Board, including associated sub groups to enable clear and unambiguous communication to relevant audiences.

The aim is to create a long term project which we will aim to develop like the North Notts Place Board and the North Notts Bid.
