As a guide to what we require.

•Experience in writing 5- year strategic marketing plans for a heritage visitor attraction of a similar size and importance. Consideration must be given to progress the ambition for the Visitor Centre as a world-class tourist attraction in the context of King Richard III experience in the city and county. The strategy should optimise the opportunities for the pre-launch, launch and post launch periods in order to secure a successful positive positioning of the King Richard III Visitor Centre. The strategy should show the difference in the marketing approach through the five year life cycle and how to sustain and grow visitor numbers to enable the long term viability of the centre. The types and frequency of measurement and KPIs should be included.

Design proposals should allow for easy, regular updating of the site by the Visitor Centre’s own marketing officers and should be cost efficient. Examples of previous work should be referenced.

• A reputation for successful launch activity that demonstrates the ability to attract a managed flow of first-time visitors spread over an initial period of time to minimise the strain on operations and avoid visitor disappointment.
