1)Short description

St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will employ a total of c.450 GP Trainees on behalf of HEE NW from August 2016; overall this number of Trainees may though change. It is also important to note that Trainees may be transferred into the scheme at any point and that Trainees may resign from the scheme throughout the year therefore any proposals would need to be flexible enough to accommodate this level of uncertainty.

It is also important to note that Trainees may be transferred into the scheme at any point and that Trainees may resign from the scheme throughout the year therefore any proposals would need to be flexible enough to accommodate this level of uncertainty.

Lot No: 3 Lot title: Medical indemnity Insurance Pennine Acute HEE NW

1)Short description

The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust will employ a total of c.850 GP Trainees on behalf of HEE NW from August 2016. *Please note however the GPST3 Trainees are subject to a separate indemnity arrangement and do not form part of this Lot. Lot 3 comprises c250 newly appointed GPST1 Trainees and c 250 GPST2 Trainees. GPST1 Trainees are all primarily placed in an acute hospital setting though a small number may undertake their placements on a split week basis (e.g. 2 or 3 days in the GP practice and 2 or 3 days in an acute hospital). Cover is required in such circumstances for those parts of the week when they are in the GP practice. In addition c 20 of these GPST1 trainees may spend a 6 month placement in a primary care setting. The GPST2 Trainees spend 6 months in an acute hospital setting and 6 months in a primary care setting. It is also important to note that Trainees may be transferred into the scheme at any point and that Trainees may resign from the scheme throughout the year therefore any proposals would need to be flexible enough to accommodate this level of uncertainty.
