The chosen medical provider will work in conjunction with EEAST at the 2017 Gt. Yarmouth Air Show. EEAST will provide full command and control to this event, with the successful tender expected to provide full medical cover as per the criteria stated, with an expected ability to treat and discharge within the footprint of the event the majority of patients presenting. The footprint will include the entire seafront (approx. 3 miles) and two Park and Ride locations. The provider will liaise prior to the event with the James Paget Hospital to ensure that a pathway and liaison exists to enable direct referral to wards thus bypassing A&E and minimising impact to the department and any potential effect to the Trust and the wider 999 provision of Service during the event. The medical provider must be able to accompany the Trust Resilience Manager to planning meetings in Gt. Yarmouth every month after award of contract, and make any site visits as deemed necessary to within the footprint. The provider must present a comprehensive medical plan to harmonise with the Operational Order of the Trust for the event. A full and comprehensive risk assessment will be required prior to sign off of the medical plan. The chosen medical provider is responsible for all costs of their staff and any accommodation required enabling them to fully service and cover the event as per the criteria stated. Due to the critical nature of this event the Trust will not permit any providers to use sub-contractors and must deliver 100% of the Contract themselves. The duration of contract will cover the event from 15th -18th June 2017 and any meetings and site visits prior to the event.
