Whilst initially for use by Nottinghamshire County Council the Framework Agreement may also be open for use by the following classifications of user defined as a ‘public body’, in the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 (as amended) (‘the Act’) and throughout all administrative regions of the UK: i.e. Local Authority Councils; Emergency Services; NHS Bodies, including Ambulance Services; Central Government Departments and their Agencies. Full details of the classification of end user establishments is available below:

— The Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) Order 1972 (SI 1972/853).

— The Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) Order 1975 (SI 1975/193) National bodies or bodies relating to a national body.

— 9 highest tier of Regions:- East Midlands, West Midlands; East of England; South East; South West; North West; North East; Yorkshire & Humber; London, or to individual administering Councils.

It should be recognised that individual Contracting Authorities / Customers may have existing contractual arrangements and/or Frameworks providing similar services. It is envisaged that the new Framework will provide value for money; however, the new framework will stand alongside existing frameworks which will remain in place until they expire or are terminated.
