Description of the contract
Tender Opportunity for Mental Health Supported Housing services Southend on Sea Borough Council Supporting People Team is inviting expressions of interest from established, suitably experienced organisations, to provide specialist Supported Housing services to Adults with Mental Health issues. These services will be expected to work towards recovery and will focus on preparing clients to move into independent living, with or without low-tiered support. The types of Clients accessing this service, will cover a broad range of need, from high and complex, including forensic cases, through to low, moderate, severe and enduring cases. The provision of these services will include high quality, fit for purpose accommodation provision alongside specialist support packages. The estimated annual value of this contract is £394k per annum and Southend Borough Council envisages awarding this contract to a maximum of 1 provider only. The contract will be for an initial period of 5 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years, at 12 monthly intervals, with a proposed start date of 1st April 2013. The successful organisation must have a comprehensive understanding and proven track record of Mental Health Supported Housing working with personal and individual budgets, and be registered or able to gain registration to provide regulated activity.
