The Council wishes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced firm to implement and configure their Microsoft Project Online (Office 365) environment. Leicestershire County Council’s Transformation Unit manages a portfolio of approximately 40 strategically important projects at any one time. The Unit consists of project managers, senior project managers, a portfolio management office (PMO- consisting of project officers, a governance officer and a portfolio support officer), business partners, business analysts, business change consultants and a programme design manager. In order to plan projects, the Transformation Unit currently uses Microsoft Project 2010 and a suite of excel and word based templates and reports. Going forward, the team will be using Microsoft Project Online and Microsoft Project 2016 client to tie in with LCC’s strategic investment in Microsoft’s Office 365 products, establish best practice in using the industry standard tool, and exploit the significant existing expertise in the use of Microsoft Project.
