P2P will deliver statutory social work services for approximately 1300 people over 18 months under contract back to Shropshire Council. The pilot comes to an end in August 2013 and the P2P and the Shropshire are currently exploring whether to continue with the delivery model from this point. A business case has been discussed with the support of a P2P Task Group. This effectively consists of members of the staff Board and requires external assistance to determine how to grow the P2P model county-wide with the support of a robust business plan. Support is required for exploring financial sustainability, legal structures and models, and the cultural change and leadership requirements of how to replicate P2P across the whole countywide service. The objective of the Contract is to enable P2P to develop a robust business plan to include a re-usable financial model, to understand their financial sustainability, and to adopt legal structures and governance models that meet their needs. A Supplier will be appointed to deliver services to P2P in the following areas: • Business Planning • Legal Structure • Governance Structure Potential Suppliers who have expressed interest in this opportunity will be sent the Invitation to Tender on 5 September 2012.
