The University is looking to appoint a single contractor to undertake the construction of a new facility called the National Graphene Institute. The contract value of the work is expected to be approximately 31.5M plus VAT. The contract is programmed to commence in the first quarter 2013 with completion in the third quarter of 2014 (for both Lots). Lot 1 on its own should commence first quarter 2013 and complete third quarter 2013, with Lot 2 following this and completing third quarter 2014.
The required works will be split into two separate lots as follows:
Lot 1. Enablement works -1,5 m.
Lot 2. Construction of a new build – 30 m.
To take part in the tender, the contractors will be required to bid for only one or both lots of the works. And the University expressly reserves the right to award one or all the Lots to one or more contractor. To participate you are required to register via the University’s -Intend system https://intendhost.co.uk/universityofmanchester/aspx/Home Contractors expressing an interest must register and down load the relevant PQQ- Pre Qualification Questionnaire, and upload the PQQ upon completion.
