The HM Prison Service still has a ongoing requirement for Cathode Ray Televisions for in cell use by prisoners and will continue with this technology whilst still viable. Provision is being made within the contract for migration to flat screen technology during the life of the contract. Bidders are required to submit samples of both the CRT TV and Flat Screen for product evaluation purposes as part of the exercise.
