This can include the development, review and analysis of options, assets, structures or markets as well as the preparation and delivery of transactions that may include acquisitions or disposals of assets or the raising of external capital and/or the formation of joint ventures or subsidiaries.
Where relevant, Network Rail wants to be able to seek external advice to support the development, evaluation and recommendation of potential options and/or transactions and, if it is decided to proceed, to then execute such transactions.
The firms selected should form a strategic supply base and be able to provide advice informed by precedents from other regulated industries. They should also be able to use their knowledge of working with Government and regulation to support and challenge our views.
