The Works comprises the ‘design and build’ of 12 no. one-bedroom flats and 16 no. houses for affordable rent to PassivHaus standard. The Works also include soft and hard landscaping, mechanical and electrical services, on and off site infrastructure and Section 278 works to complete the project. The scheme has Full Planning Permission from the Local Authority.
The existing buildings on site will have been demolished leaving the slabs, foundations and services. Further design development and construction of the scheme is required. The ‘JCT 2011 Design and Build’ contract with Employer’s amendments will be utilised with tenderers defining the time period for the project.
We wish to inform potential bidders that PCKO Architects have created the design and have obtained the planning consent. We shall name PCKO Architects for the post contract detail building design services.
Conisbee, consulting structural engineers, have been involved in elements of design development pre and post planning. They have in-depth knowledge of the scheme which it is hoped will be of benefit and we ask that bidders consider making use of this expertise going forward with the project, with the successful contractor making appropriate appointments.

As from 1.4.2010 all new building contracts and associated professional appointments (both Framework and Non-Framework appointments) may be entered into by SDSL for SHGL and its subsidiaries.
Southern Housing Group (and/ or SDSL) reserve the right to discontinue the procurement process at any time which shall include the right not to award a contract and does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any tender/ PQQ received.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The contracting authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the Contract is communicated to Tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful Tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the Contract is entered into.
