Newcastle University invites tenders from suppliers to provide graphic design services for Newcastle University’s core printed recruitment and corporate publications.

No guarantee is given or implied as to the values and volumes of business that will become available as a result of being appointed to this framework, during the duration of the contract. The contract will be for an initial 24 months, with options available to extend for 2 further 12 month periods.

The University intends to establish a Framework Agreement with between 6 and 10 suppliers, and work will be placed with the framework supplier best suited to the design requirements of each project.

Newcastle University invites tenders from suppliers to provide graphic design services for Newcastle University’s core printed recruitment and corporate publications. The following categories of graphic design services are not explicitly included in this tender.

— digital design,

— PR and marketing advertising,

— campaign development design and delivery,

— brand development.

Please note that print products designed and delivered as an element of one of the 4 exclusions above may be commissioned / purchased outside of this framework.

While digital design will be covered by another University contract, all work undertaken by graphic designers on this contract should be easily translatable into digital design work, without extensive further graphic design work. However, the University reserves the right to use this framework for such services if it is deemed appropriate.

No guarantee is given or implied as to the values and volumes of business that will become available as a result of being appointed to this framework, during the duration of the contract. The contract will be for an initial 24 months, with options available to extend for 2 further 12 month periods.

The University intends to establish a Framework Agreement with between 6 and 10 suppliers, and work will be placed with the framework supplier best suited to the design requirements of each project. The suitability is based on:

— the company with the closest match to the design skills / approach best able to deliver the style and type of creative design required for each project,

— company capacity to fulfil the project successfully within the timescale,

— ability to deliver the creative design within the budget available for the project,

— if more than one company is deemed able to satisfy all of the above criteria for a particular design job, the company with the lowest costs shall be appointed.

The University will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
