The service is required to provide additional capacity and patient choice of providers for the provision of Minor Eye Conditions (MEC) Services, as defined in the accompanying service specification, for the population of Stockport. NHS Stockport will be operating an AQP.
(Any Qualified Provider) procurement for the selection of suitable provider(s). This procurement is being run as a Part B service as defined by the Public Contract Regulations (2006). The procurement of Minor Eye Condition Services will be managed on behalf of NHS Stockport by NHS Greater Manchester (GM) procurement team. NHS Stockport has mandated the GM Procurement Team to provide overall project management of the procurement of these Services.
