The framework agreement is split in to 4 lots:

2. Emergency tree felling and clearance,
3. Grip and back ditch cleaning,
4. Hedge and verge trimming.

Contractors appointed to this Lot will be required to provide tree maintenance and felling services on a site by site basis according to the specifications contained within arboricultural reports supplied by the Council’s Arboricultural and Woodland Officers.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Emergency Tree Felling and Clearance

1)Short description

Contractors will be required to respond to emergency situations both during normal working hours and offer an ‘out of hours’ service which requires the felling and / or removal of trees posing a risk to property or public safety, or obstructing the Public Highway. These situations may be caused by, but not limited to, extreme weather conditions and road traffic incidents.

The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
