The Council aims to integrate the current Hitchin Town Hall, a grade II listed building, and premises 14 and 15 Brand Street to deliver refurbished and enhanced community facilities, to improve access and provide visitor facilities and to introduce a new museum facility.
The project secured Round 2 HLF funding in March 2014. The Council has already tendered a main contractor to undertake the main refurbishment works and now seeks to appoint a fit-out contractor and AV software specialist with the relevant experience to achieve a modern museum facility.

This PQQ sets out the information which is required by North Hertfordshire District Council in order to assess the suitability of potential providers in terms of its technical knowledge and experience, capability/capacity, organisational and financial standing to meet the services required. The intention is to arrive at a short list of between five and seven potential providers who will be supplied with full tender documentation and issued with an Invitation to Tender.
The AV software contractor will be responsible for the management, production and co-ordination of the following elements:
Creation of audio visual media and interactive software;
Specialist filming;
Content and storyboard development and scripting.
The AV software supplier will be required to co-ordinate with the separately appointed main fit-out contractor and their appointed AV Hardware supplier assist in the development of hardware specifications and to ensure the compatibility of the media with the hardware specifications.
