ECML operates a fast, frequent passenger train services on the east coast main line between London King’s Cross the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland. The service covers 920 miles, carries over 17 000 000 passengers a year and employs 2 800 staff. We are a subsidiary of Directly Operated Railways, which was formed in November 2009 by the Department for Transport.
