Bids are invited by Skills Development Scotland ‘SDS’ from organisations whose primary focus is delivering sectoral skills activities, to increase availability of transition training courses to support oil and gas individuals affected by the sectors downturn who wish to enter and gain employment in related and alternative sectors.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The aim of this procurement is to help support individuals who are at risk of redundancy, and those that have already been released, from the Oil & Gas sector. The Transition Training Fund will have a clear focus on delivering employment opportunities for participants. Further information relating to the Fund is contained within the attached ITT. SDS look forward to receiving your bids, and to working with organisations in supporting this transition training provision.

Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commence of any subsequently awarded contract the following Insurance cover: Employer’s (Compulsory) Liability Insurance — 2 000 000 GBP; Public liability Insurance — 2 000 000 GBP

Bidders will be required to provide examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services/supplies as described. Bidders will be required to confirm that they and/or the service provider have relevant educational and professional qualifications.
