The selected supplier will operate and maintain the Class 313 (313 121) unit which includes the following:
European Rail Traffic Management System Testing
Transits moves to and from test site(s)
Transits moves for maintenance
Any other ad-hoc moves required to support the project.
Provision of drivers capable of operating the Class 313 unit in normal operation (including transit moves) and during testing.
Provision of a Test Train Manager during test.
Planning, including the preparation of the timings for the Services.
Provision of Stabling and Maintenance Locations to support the Testing Plan.
Provision of breakdown and recovery facility.
Manage the process of faults reporting and repairs.
Update of VMIs (incorporating VMIs for refurbishment and ETCS fitment).
Provision of training programmes which will support the European Rail Traffic Management System Testing programme.
Please note, however, that the maintenance of the ETCS equipment is excluded from this tender.
