II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium Limited (NWUPC) is inviting tenders to establish a framework agreement for the provision of portable appliance and fixed wire testing on behalf of members of the consortia detailed below.
Starting 1.2.2015 to 31.1.2018 plus a 12 month extension until the 31.12.2019.
This is split into the following lots:
Lot 1 Portable Appliance Testing (England, Wales and Northern Ireland),
Lot 2 Fixed Wire Testing (England, Wales and Northern Ireland),
Lot 3 Portable Appliance Testing (Scotland),
Lot 4 Fixed Wire Testing (Scotland).
The Authority is procuring the framework agreement as a central purchasing body for itself and other contracting bodies and is managing this procurement process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
The authority wishes to establish a multi supplier provision for all four lots of the framework agreement to portable appliance and fixed wire testing.
