The Framework will comprise of 3 Lots, as follows:
Lot 1- Standard Uniform Trousers – Male.
Lot 2 – Standard Uniform Trousers – Female.
Lot 3 – Cargo/Combat Style Trousers – Male & Female or Unisex.
Suppliers are able to bid for any combination of Lots.
The PCC is looking for suppliers that will typically demonstrate commercial advantage, stability and innovation who also have the technical capacity to Design and Supply Standard Uniform Trousers and /or Cargo /Combat Style Trousers that portray a professional imageand reassuring role to the public.
The PCC is looking to secure suppliers who are innovative in their designs and who are prepared where necessary to consider the use of modern fabrics if this is more likely to suit the requirements of the specificaton.
It is likely that all the Police and Crime Commissioners in the Yorkshire and Humber region will procure against this Framework although this cannot be guaranteed. These four regional forces currently employ approximately 12,000 officers. Approximately 57 % of these needs apply to Lot 1, 28 % to Lot 2 and the remaining 15 % to Lot 3. Approximately 30 % of Lot 3 requirements are for Female officers.Quantities of the differing styles may change in the future dependant on the male to female ratio of police officers/staff and also dependant on force policy changes in relation to standard versus cargo uniform trousers.
Nationally approximately 160,000 officers are employed by Police Forces in the UK and this Framework could potentially be used to procure for all or some of these requirements and other bodies as detailed in this OJEU Notice.
Please note:
The contracted framework suppliers may be asked to amend or provide additional styles and/or materials in the future, plus the National Uniform Managed Service may add to or reduce from the scope of the contract in terms of volume, value and participating values. The resulting organisation formed for the National Uniform Managed Service may require to purchase via this framework.
