The Highland Council wishes to appoint a Principal Contractor to undertake the construction of a new 2-storey extension to include new open plan offices. In addition, the renovation of the existing B-listed former secondary school will also form part of the contract, as well as formation of a new access road off the main trunk road. Works will also include demolition of the old canteen and gym hall buildings to the front and rear of the existing property.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: The organisations that will be shortlisted to be invited to tender following the PQQ evaluation will be up to a maximum of 8 organisations, at the discretion of the Authority, with the highest overall weighted scores above 60 % (provided that 8 organisations pre-qualify).

Section VI: Complementary information
Contractors will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) for this contract. The purpose of the PQQ is to identify a number of suitably qualified and experienced companies who will be invited to submit a tender. The Highland Council will use the information provided in response to the PQQ to determine which organisations are most suited, in the opinion of the Evaluation Panel, in terms of technical knowledge and experience, and organisational and financial standing to submit a tender.
