The service will provide 50 furnished and unfurnished 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties for a period of 2 years (with the option to extend for a period of up to 1 year). The properties will be dispersed throughout the County to ensure adequate supply for the 3 main area offices, Carmarthen, Llanelli and the Amman and Gwendraeth.
The Council will utilise the properties as Temporary Accommodation for people who have applied for assistance under the homelessness legislation and who, under that legislation, appear to have a priority need for housing.
It has been confirmed by the current provider of this service that there are TUPE [Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings (protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulations 2014) implications attached to this contract.
