2.2

Description of the goods or services required

It has been agreed that the professional leadership role of Chief Social Work Officers (CSWOs) should be further recognised through a work-based accredited learning pathway. A previous project commissioned by the SSSC developed an occupational standard based on the professional knowledge, skills and values required for CSWOs. This contract is for a project to develop this standard into a learning pathway leading to an award of 120 credits at SCQF level 11. This award would be targeted at all CSWOs and aspiring CSWOs across Scotland’s 32 local authorities. Project reports should also set out how the institutions plan to deliver the award.
