Description

Derbyshire County Council, Cultural and Community Services, is inviting quotations for a Project Researcher for ‘Derbyshire Lives through the World Wars’, the County Council’s response to the forthcoming centenary of the outbreak of the First World War and the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War.

With the support of Arts Council England Renaissance Strategic Support Funding, we are commissioning three pieces of desk based research to inform the planning:

• To establish what plans communities are already making to commemorate these events, and what support they might appreciate to deliver these

• To survey the information and resources already to hand in both public archives and museums and in private collections, within Derbyshire and also in national archives which relates to Derbyshire

• To survey what the business community in and near Derbyshire may be planning, and what support they may be prepared to offer in partnership with the County Council to deliver this five year programme
