The Council wishes to engage a Real Estate Consultant who can assist with the acquisition of property investment on its behalf This assistance will extend to the identification and analysis of opportunities for commercial property investment including off market sales, identifying the right opportunities to fit with the Council’s Strategy, targeting potential investments using market intelligence including specifically and comprehensively contacting all property owners within the set geographical areas identified in the Strategy, prioritising the Council’s requirements in terms of risk, revenue and capital growth, and timing. It shall include liaison with Vendors and their advisors, purchaser negotiations, managing the acquisition process from day 1 through to completion of the purchase once the Council supports a property investment, completion of due diligence to comply with the Council’s requirements including pre-acquisition reports as and when required, through to comprehensive property advice on whether to hold or sell assets (including those previously purchased as part of this Strategy), and including disposal of assets as required. Liaison with Legal and Professional teams within the Council and outside, throughout.
