The BBC is looking for a supplier(s) to provide an Employee Assistance Programme and a Bullying and Harassment Helpline. The requirement is split into 2 (two) Lots:
— Lot 1 — Employee Assistance Programme;
— Lot 2 — Bullying and Harassment Helpline.
The initial contract term will be 2 (two) years following which the BBC may at its discretion extend the term by up to 24 months. The BBC reserves the right to extend 1 of the Lots and not the other.

Lot No: 1 Lot title: Employee Assistance Programme

1)Short description

Lot 1 — The BBC is seeking an organisation to provide an Employee Assistance Programme to its staff and their family members, living in the same household. Working closely with BBC People; the service provider must ensure that the services provided under the programme are accessible across the whole of the UK (including Northern Ireland) and our UK tax paying employees working at different locations abroad. In addition we require a service for eligible employees of an international scheme for staff working under a contract of employment for the BBC within a BBC location outside of the UK. Due to the potential sensitive issues the scheme may deal with, the tendering organisation must be fully auditable and adhere to EAP Association standards.
The service must be available 24/7 and offer an externally hosted website with a secure online chat facility, telephone and face to face counselling for a wide range of issues that BBC employees may have or come across, such as those relating to relationships, organisational issues, finance, legal matters, bereavement, short term support for mental health issues and psychological trauma including post-traumatic stress.
The service must also cover information provision for a wide range of issues such as child/elder care, consumer, financial and legal advice, and psychological trauma.
The initial contract term will be 2 (two) years following which the BBC may at its discretion extend the term by up to 24 (twenty four) months. The BBC reserves the right to extend this Lot only.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Bullying and Harassment Helpline

1)Short description

Lot 2 — The BBC is seeking an organisation to provide an Anti-Bullying and Harassment Support Line for their staff (UK and Global). Working closely with BBC People; the service provider must ensure that the services provided are accessible across the whole of the UK (including Northern Ireland) and to our employees working at different locations abroad. Due to the potential sensitive issues the provider may deal with, the tendering organisation must be fully auditable. The helplines must be independent and confidential and offer independent advice, assistance and support to help resolve cases of bullying and harassment. Support will be provided by accredited professional counsellors and shall be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Where appropriate, BBC staff will be encouraged to address issues raised informally. BBC staff will be sign posted to another source of support/advice such as the BBC’ Employee Assistance Programme or BBC’s HR Service Centre or other BBC Departments.
Access to the Helplines will be available via telephone and should also be available online through an online chat option and/or via SMS or email.
The initial contract term will be 2 (two) years following which the BBC may at its discretion extend the term by up to 24 (twenty four) months. The BBC reserves the right to extend this Lot only.
