We require a cost effective, responsive occupational health service for healthcare staff.
NELFT is conducting this procurement on behalf of NELFT NHS Foundation Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I). The procurement is split into 2 Lots; Lot 1 is NELFT and Lot 2 is C&I. Tenderers may bid for either Lot 1 individually, Lot 2 individually or both lots.
The services required include:

— Immunisation/Vaccinations;
— Consultancy and Advisory Service;
— Attendance at Working Parties/Training/Committee or Other Meetings;

NELFT and Camden and Islington (C&I) are engaging in a procurement exercise for the provision of Occupational Health Services. This procurement is split into 2 Lots — Lot 1 for NELFT (comprising 6 000 staff) and Lot 2 for C&I (comprising 2 000 staff).
For Lot 1 the geographical area that the services are to be conducted in will include the London Boroughs of Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Havering as well as Essex. For Lot 2 the geographical area that the services are to be conducted in are the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.
This contract(s) will be offered for 3 years and will expire on 31.3.2019. There will be an option to extend by up to 2 years in yearly increments subject to agreement by both parties.

1)Short description

NELFT require a cost effective, responsive occupational health service for healthcare staff focussing on the need to reduce sickness absence rates. The Trust requires a cost effective, innovative service which is flexible and adaptable to fluctuating needs and minimises the time that employees are absent from work either through sickness or from waiting to attend Occupational Health appointments. The Contractor shall, wherever possible, use the latest emerging technologies and communications channels, and will work with NELFT on a range of innovative ideas to assist in a reduction in sickness rates both short and long term.

The Occupational Health Service will work in partnership with NELFT in providing accessible expertise to ensure a safe, healthy working environment that benefits staff and promotes high quality patient care. NELFT and the Contractor will aim to promote and maintain the highest possible level of physical, mental and social well-being of all employees (including night staff and shift workers), through the identification and management of risks to health and compliance to health and safety legislation.

1)Short description

C&I require a cost effective, responsive occupational health service for healthcare staff focussing on the need to maintain a streamlined on-boarding process for new recruits and maintain good sickness absence rates. The Trust requires a cost effective, innovative service which is flexible and adaptable to fluctuating needs and minimises the time that employees are absent from work either through sickness or from waiting to attend Occupational Health appointments. The Contractor shall, wherever possible, use the latest emerging technologies and communications channels, and will work with C&I on a range of innovative ideas to assist in a reduction in sickness rates both short and long term.

C&I currently employs just under 2000 staff, including around 350 trainee clinical psychologists who are hosted by C&I to undertake their doctorate in clinical psychology and are on 3 year training contracts. We also engage around 120 workers on honorary contracts each year and around 90 volunteers per year. This tender is based on this number of staff.
