Description of the contract

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside has been notified that she will be awarded grant funding of £1.489m by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) for 2015/16. The grant will be issued to commission and/or provide and develop victims’ support services, including Restorative Justice, for Merseyside. The Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC) produced a Victims Needs Assessment for Merseyside between April and September 2014. Consultation with providers, partners and stakeholders took place between October and December 2014. This has informed the strands of activity that the OPCC wishes to commission for delivery during the year 2015/16. These strands are: • Child Sexual Exploitation services • Hate Crime Advocacy services • Domestic Abuse services (young people at risk of or witnessing domestic abuse). • Sexual offences services • ‘Vulnerable Victims’ Champion services including support to: • Victims of ASB • Victims of ‘volume crime’ (burglary, robbery, violence) • Victims of fraud • Restorative Justice
