Provision of Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition ProgrammeThe London Borough of Sutton (Sutton Council) runs a Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards programme for the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards through Sutton Open Award Centre for young people who cannot or would rather not access Duke of Edinburgh provision within their school.  The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations for the Provision of Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition Programme.  The successful organisation must be a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Approved Activity Provider and have a valid Adventurous Activities Licence.

The contract will initially be for a period of 1 year commencing in 1st January 2014 with an option to extend for further two years, in 12-monthly intervals at the sole discretion of the Council.    The maximum budget available for this contract is £20,000 per annum.

The Council is tendering this quotation through the London Tenders e-tendering portal, our preferred method of advertising and managing contract opportunities. Prospective Tenderers are advised to register their interest by going to https://www.londontenders.org/procontract/supplier.nsf.

Sutton Council currently contracts with a diverse group of voluntary, statutory and private sector providers and encourages a range of organisations, regardless of size, to apply for this provision.

The Council shall not be bound to accept the lowest cost or any quotation. The award of contract shall be based on the most economically advantageous quotation submitted.

Deadline for submission of a completed Quotation Questionnaire is 12.00 on 11th December 2013.  Following marking of responses to the method statements interviews will be held for those who score in the top 3 of responses.  It is anticipated the interviews will take place on 19th December 2013.
