Description of the contract

Purchase of 4 laboratory refrigerators: 2 x 11.5 cu ft capacity and 2 x 23.3 cu ft capacity. The refrigerators must be laboratory grade or food industry grade, CFC free, spark protected and run from normal single phase 200/230V domestic electrical supplies. They must be suitable to use in a laboratory environment, therefore constructed of materials capable of being decontaminated with strong disinfectants. Each fridge will be supplied with a minimum of three robust shelves that are easily removable for cleaning. Temperature specification: The refrigerators must comply with the sample storage requirements of ISO 5667 part 3. The refrigerators must maintain a stable temperature of 3 ± 2ºC. Must have a maximum lower temperature of 1ºC to avoid freezing samples. Temperature must be adjustable in increments of 1ºC. The refrigerators must be fitted with over and under temperature alarms. Upright refrigerators. Minimum Internal dimensions: 71cm wide and 140 cm deep. ISO 17025 requires that the supplier is approved, based on ISO 9001 certification.
