The programme shall undertake research on Aqueous recycle processes as outlined in Section 4 ‘Research Requirements’ p.15 of the ITT, including:

i. basic chemistry and technology for dissolution, separations and conversion steps

ii. active separations tests on surrogate feeds

iii. active dissolution tests on un-irradiated fuels

iv. a conversion flowsheet for transuranic (TRU) — containing products

v. a minor actinide separations flowsheet for high level waste
