Description of the contract
Capita are recruiting for a Senior/Lead Lawyer to join a Central Government department on a 6 month contract, based in London. This post is required to lead the development of the legal drafting for a Standard Contract for the procurement of goods/services and associated documentation. This work is to be completed by a December deadline Main Duties • Provide legal advice to the team and internal stakeholders • Manage the legal documentation version control to ensure traceability and audit • Support the relevant parties in the implementation and understanding of standard contracts • Effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring their input is reflected in the development of the contract • Work with policy leads to provide contractual solutions to policy requirements Skills/ Experience Required • A senior qualified solicitor with experience in commercial and contract law. • Knowledge of the Public Healthcare Sector, including the Health and Social Care Act 2012 & Standard Contracts • Excellent analytical skills to be able to advise on the appropriate solutions to translate policy requirements into binding commercial mechanisms and agreements. • Broad legal knowledge including, commercial, procurement, corporate, competition and employment. • Experience of managing a team and delivering contracts to a deadline. • Confident communicator with strong presentation and drafting skills. Formal Qualifications Required Fully Qualified Lawyer Additional Comments Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undergo Baseline Standard Security Checks, these are at a cost of £25. Capita is managing this Contract on behalf of the Client via an approved framework.
