Background: Our Client is currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Technical Project Manager. The post is to support the Future Scheme Programme. The objectives of the Future Scheme Programme are to introduce an effective, reliable and cost-efficient statutory child maintenance scheme. The Future Scheme Programme is a complex mix of information and technology systems and interfaces delivered in two phases, requiring both people with high levels of technical competence and project/programme managers with experience of managing complex technology projects. The objective of this specific requirement is to provide a Service Management Delivery Project Manager. The Commission has staffed it’s service management team but has a requirement for additional capacity during upcoming phases and for specific skills that are needed to resolve complex challenges faced in delivering a complex new IT system. This role will be split between Leeds and Newcastle (approx 3 days per week in Leeds and the remainder in Newcastle but this could alter slightly dependant on project demands). Main Duties/ Responsibilities: The specific deliverables are: • Work closely with business and technical Subject Matter Experts to elicit, clarify and document requirements • Produce the technical architecture under-pinning service management • Work with business and other leads to gather and document service management requirements • Maintain traceability to business requirements from a service management perspective • Take ownership of service management related technical design decisions throughout the delivery • Ensuring service management – specific project activities technically align • Ensuring compliance with service management – related standards and key architectural principles • Facilitating project decision-making around deployment and the appropriate way to achieve such a deployment • Providing an informed and experienced view to help resolve day to day service management -related technical challenges Skills/ Experience Required: Skills/Experience Required: • Project Management experience in a multi supplier environment • Significant understanding and delivery of Service Management Strategies in a complex environment • Understanding of technical architectures and how these underpin service management strategies • Central or Local Government Experience Formal Qualifications needed:: • APMP / PRINCE2 (or equivalent qualification / experience) Additional information: If you are interested in this position, please can you apply via the job board – unfortunately we cannot accept emailed applications
