II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The contract will cover the collection of dry recycling, food waste, garden waste and refuse from households, the collection of dry recycling from bring sites, clinical waste and the management of household waste recycling centres. It will also include provisional items including commercial waste and the collection of bulky waste. The contract will commence on 1.3.2017 and will have an initial term of 7 years with the provision to extend for 1 or more periods up to a maximum contract term of 20 years. It is estimated that the total real terms value of the contract(s) will be between 5 000 000 GBP per annum and 7 000 000 GBP per annum. For the avoidance of doubt the stated estimated values excluding VAT are for the initial contract term of 7 years (84 months).
The council may provide capital funding for plant and fleet investment.
The contract duration period stated covers the initial service delivery period, there will be a period of contract mobilisation prior to the commencement date.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 35 000 000 and 49 000 000 GBP
