Introduction and Background
Swale Borough Council has a commitment to deliver major regeneration schemes in the borough in order to drive inward investment, create local jobs, improve infrastructure and ultimately make Swale a better place to live. It requires the services of an exceptional regeneration project management specialist to bring the experience and expertise required by the council to deliver various projects.
Requirements
Regeneration Project Management
— client side management of complex multilateral projects,
— project management of other consultants and Council staff as appropriate,
— ensure that projects are compliant with the Councils strategic objectives and local policies,
— written reports to strategic, operational and member meetings,
— attend and present to strategic, operational and member meetings including Cabinet and Senior Management Team,
— provide information and liaise with the Council’s communications department to respond to press enquiries and for press releases,
— assist with applications for funding, prepare business plans to support applications and manage funding in line with the funders requirements,
— ensure that the Councils statutory due diligence is carried out for all acquisitions and disposals regarding the projects,
— project management of construction contracts,
— procurement of contractors and consultants under OJEU and/or the Councils own procurement regulations as appropriate,
— interpretation of complex development agreements.
