Portsmouth City Council – the ‘Council’ – wishes to procure a contract for the servicing, repair, replacement and installation of laundry equipment within its social housing stock. The Council is aiming to have awarded the contract by 21.7.2014 to allow for contract commencement on 1.8.2014. The initial contract term will run for 3 years but is extendable in increments to be agreed to a total maximum duration of 5 years subject to performance and agreement of both parties.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Council owns a large number of communal washing, drying and ironing machines of various types. The majority of this equipment is electrically powered; however some machines are gas powered. The equipment is situated within communal laundries located within residential scheme-managed and high rise blocks, community centres and assisted living properties.
The contract will be used to deliver the following:
— Servicing of all equipment within three months of contract commencement.
— Follow up servicing on an annual basis.
— Breakdown repair services which must be available between the hours of 8:00–18:00 Monday to Friday as a minimum.
— Call out response time to be within 4 hours although repairs reported after 14:00 may be addressed the following morning.
— Replacement of non-serviceable equipment.
— Installation of new equipment.
— Supply and delivery of laundry tokens.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 325 000 and 400 000 GBP
