Lincolnshire County Council, Childrens’ Services is inviting tenders from competent contractors to carry out works to Replace Windows and Doors to Block 02 at Claypole CE Primary School. The Works comprise the replacement of 19nr windows/ glazed screens and 5nr door sets within Block 02, to include any associated repairs or reinstatement of existing finishes. Existing windows and glazed screens are to be replaced with an aluminum system to meet current Building Regulations. Doors within glazed screens shall be aluminum to match the screen. Individual doors and frames are to be replaced in hardwood. Glazing units facing the cricket square shall have impact resistant polycarbonate as an outer pane. The Contractor shall also coordinate the removal of asbestos cement fascias, which may involve alterations to the verge detailing on existing flat roof areas, together with a replacement fascia system.
Contractors shall tender for the full package of works set out within the documents including competent site supervision by an experienced agent or person-in-charge, who shall coordinate and monitor a programme with each sub-contractor and supplier, whilst ensuring site safety is maintained and that the Contractors’ duties under CDM 2007 are met.
The successful contractor will have SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) Health & Safety Accreditation and Constructionline registration.

The works will be let on the JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2011 Edition. A copy of the LCC Standard Descriptions of Materials & Workmanship is available on request from the Contract Administrator.
