SECTION I: Details of the Request for Quote
Description of the RFQ

The Our Heritage – Llyn Pilgrim’s Trail project is one of the site specific capital investment schemes developed under the ‘Ein Treftadaeth / Our Heritage’ project that includes local partners in Llyn; Plas Glyn y Weddw, Llyn Maritime Museum and the National Trust. The Llyn Pilgrims Trail will also be part of the wider North Wales Pilgrim’s Trail.

The idea of the project is to re-create the Pilgrim’s Trail across the north and south coast of Llyn based on the Coastal Path and as a result use the trail as a catalyst to promote historical, cultural and heritage attractions in Llyn.

There will be 5 focus points created across the trail where information on local heritage will be presented through the medium of interpretive digital screens.

The Main aim of the project is to introduce information on the riches of Llyn’s heritage to visitors and local people in the hope that they will be motivated to travel from one location to another by using the Coastal Path along with other local trails.

The purpose of the commission is to appoint an individual or company to be responsible for the research, collecting information, interpretation and writing content of a high standard for the Llyn Pilgrim’s Trail. The successful company will be responsible for the role of guiding, managing and coordinating different elements of work for the five focus points:

Pwllheli (Plas Heli Sailing Club)

Plas Glyn y Weddw

Plas yn Rhiw

Porthdinllaen

Llyn Maritime Museum

The aim is to research, collect information, interpret and write content on these individual sites and on other local historical sites/attractions that would be of interest. It will also include collecting information for filming on the website and collecting information and writing content that can be used on the website and digital hubs.
