Title

Consultant Quantity Surveyor Services for New University Music Centre

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

The University of St Andrews proposal is to create a new purpose-built Music Centre which will offer the range of practice, rehearsal and teaching spaces needed by student musicians and which will also include a dedicated rehearsal and performance studio, a music technology and recording suite and a library.

The University wishes to procure the services of Consultant Quantity Surveyor Services to join the design team.

It is the University’s intention to enter into a Professional Services Contract for the project utilising the Standard Scope of Service in Appendix M.

The Quantity Surveyor shall be expected to provide engineering advice and solutions incorporated into a project design fully coordinated with all other design disciplines.

The Project and Design Team for the New Music Centre shall comprise the following disciplines Inter alia:

– Project Manager

– Architect (Lead Designer)

– Civil / Structural Engineer

– Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

– Fire Engineer

– Acoustician

– Sound Engineer

– Quantity Surveyor

– Principal Designer (Architect)

Tenderers are invited to propose further additional services they consider will add value to the project as part of the consultancy team.
