- The London Borough of Hounslow is committed to developing its 70 most senior managers, who hold key strategic and operational posts, to effectively lead the organisation through ongoing change. As part of continued investment in the leadership development of this group, we are looking to recruit up to 12 experienced and skilled coaches to provide coaching sessions for individual managers.
This group of managers attend regular conferences and meetings which have focused on the key elements of the Leadership Development Plan: Leading Self, Leading Others and Leading the Business. They have completed Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and should have an awareness of their MBTI type profile. More recently, they have received individual feedback on the results of a 180? feedback exercise called Leadership Employee Impact (LEI), where their direct reports were invited to give anonymous feedback in 4 key areas: Lead and Influence; Building Constructive Relationships; Enable People and Personal Development and Growth. By providing access to coaching support, managers will have the opportunity to work on areas for their personal development identified by the feedback and/or to focus on their longer-term career development goals.
Successful providers will form a Coaching Consultant Select List from which Senior Managers requesting coaching will be able to select coaches. Successful providers will be asked to provide Pen Pictures with photographs of potential Coaching Consultants. This should include comprehensive details of the Coaching Consultant, including background and specialisms.
The Authority will compile these into a Coaching Consultant Select List for the purpose of Coaching Consultant selection.
Senior Managers who have identified a need for coaching will use the Pen Pictures, maximum 3 per provider, contained in the Coaching Consultant Select List to select the Coaching Consultant, that they feel best suits their personal requirements.
Following selection from the Coaching Consultant Select list, providers will be contacted to arrange precise requirements, including dates, times and locations.
Following the evaluation of bid responses the top 15 ranking Coaching Consultants will be invited to an interview, where the Authority will ask providers to present their bid; the Authority may take the opportunity to moderate the scores previously awarded.
