Description

Leicester City Council and NHS Leicester are looking for a Supplier to deliver a one-off Roller Skating project in five schools in Leicester City targeting young people aged 14 – 19 years as part of the PCT Health Inequalities Programme. The project is designed to engage with young people in schools to encourage them to participate in regular activity working towards the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity per day and help reduce the drop off rate seen in schoolchildren aged 14+.

The Full days – Approximately 600 children per school
6 week sessions – Approximately 80 participants per session

The project will consist of one full day’s roller skating from 9am – 3pm in each of the five schools, where pupils in every school year will have a 30 minute session at Roller Skating. Following this there will be a 6 week course at each of the five schools consisting of a weekly 2 hour session per school which will be free for the students to participate in.

We are looking to deliver this programme in the new School Term – September/October start date

All sessions should include the Supply of:
• A range of various sized skates
• Wrist, Knee and Elbow Protectors
• Safety Helmets
• Disco
• Lighting
• Enhanced CRB Certified Coaches, Marshalls and DJ
• Transportation to and from the venue
• Set up – and De-rig

Suppliers should have the following minimum levels of insurance:

• Public £5million
• Employers £5million

Suppliers will be required to undertake all relevant risk assessment prior to each event. Suppliers should have Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and practices in place.

Bids will be assessed to find the most economically advantageous bid in accordance with the following award criteria.
• Price 50%
• Quality 50%
