Description of the contract

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is establishing a programme of work in 2012-13 which aims to: (a) inform the Commission’s future roles and work on the religion and belief strand including its role of assessing the working of the law; and (b) contribute to better dialogue on these issues between those of religion and belief, those with a secular or humanist viewpoint and those who have to manage and deal with these issues in everyday life. As part of the first stage of this work the Commission wishes to contract with an individual or organisation to hold round table discussions to (i) improve the understanding of the issues which unite and those which may divide groups; (ii) improve the understanding of how to address issues without conflict; and (iii) improve the consideration of how issues and questions might be addressed better in the future. Suppliers should note that there is no Expression of Interest stage and submissions are required by 13:00 Tuesday 18th September. We wish to contract as soon as possible after this date as possible.
