Disabled Facility Grants – To provide grant allocation for the elderly, frail and adults and children with a permanent and physical disability who live in the Crawley Borough.
The contract will be for five years with an option to extend for up to 2 years.

To provide adaptation works including access ramps, grab rails, door widening, kitchen and bathroom adaptations to the accommodation of the elderly, frail and adults and children with a permanent and physical disability. The works under Lots 1 and 2 are to be undertaken within Council owned housing stock and under Lot 3 in private residences in accordance with the Disabled Facility Grants scheme.
The contract will be for 5 years with an option to extend for up to 2 years.

Estimated to be up to GBP 650,000 per annum.
Works to Properties will include the following:

— kitchen adaptations,

— paths/ground works,
— external rails,
— dropped curbs/crossovers,
— access to garden,
— door widening,
— internal structural work,
— external structural work.
Based on the anticipated volume of work that will be placed through these Lots and the Council’s requirement for continuously high standard of workmanship, it is our intention to award this Contract to one provider.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Stairlift installation and maintenance
1)Short description
Stair lift installation and comprehensive maintenance and servicing contract, estimated to be up to GBP 75,000 per annum.
Design brief for the supply and installation of stair lifts in different variations including the maintenance and servicing. Based on the anticipated volume of work that will be placed through these Lots and the Council’s requirement for a continuously high standard of workmanship, it is our intention to award this framework to one provider.

There will be no formal contract for these works and no guarantee of value of the works.
Works to Properties will include the following:

— paths/ground works,
— external rails,
— dropped curbs/crossovers,
— access to garden,
— door widening,
— internal structural work,
— external structural work.
The select list of contractors will be advised to the Client who may wish to contact the contractors on the list to obtain prices for works and then apply for a Grant from Crawley Borough Council.
Based on the requirement for continuously high standard of workmanship, it is our intention to have a select list of no greater than 6 No Contractors.
