The Costello School is a large, mixed School with Academy status located in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The School is currently home to approximately 1,100 pupils from the age of 11 through to 16.

The Costello School is looking to source a competent and capable catering service provider who can ensure that staff and pupils are presented with healthy and aesthetically pleasing meals.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Costello School intends to let a Contract for a fully managed catering service, which shall include but shall not be limited to; preparation and serving of meals, cleaning of catering areas and management of all catering staff.
The Contract to be let makes no capacity for lots on the basis that this is a fully managed catering service.
The Contract to be let shall have a core duration of 3 years. After this point there shall be the option of a 2 year extension, at yearly intervals. This shall provide a Contract structure of 3 + 1 + 1.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 1 250 000 and 2 250 000 GBP

Description of these options: The Costello School shall offer a core Contract period of 3 years. At the end of this core period there shall be the option of extension for a further two years, at yearly intervals. This shall offer a Contract structure of 3 + 1 + 1.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Costello School will incorporate a standstill period at the point at which information on the award of the Contract is communicated to all tenderers. The notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for the minimum of ten calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the Contract is entered into.
The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No.102) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed, or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
